SIX L.A. CATHOLIC WORKERS ARRESTED ON NAGASAKI DAY
The L.A. Catholic Worker community traveled to Vandenberg AFB on Friday, August 9, for the culmination of their 2013 summer intern program, as well as to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and call for the abolition of nuclear weapons, an end to missile testing, and an end to war. All six were cited for trespassing and released an hour and one-half later at Ryon Park in Lompoc. See photos HERE.
UPDATE: Arraignment is set for 1pm, Thursday, October 17, in Santa Barbara Federal Bankruptcy Court, 1415 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. If you can attend for support, it would be greatly appreciated. Be sure to bring your ID.
